FAC is currently searching for aSeniorProposal Engineerto coordinate the development of proposals for our world-class ACP Paint systems. Primary responsibilities will include:
Develop system concepts utilizing FANUC America standard designs to address the customers’ paint process requirements
Initiating proposal engineering efforts and preparing formal proposal documents along with estimating associated labor and material costs.
Read and interpret customer specifications
Understanding of the FANUC Integrator Network and Discounting Structure
Read and interpret application data sheets
Coordinate and conduct engineering review meetings with ACP Sales and Engineering
Document and distribute engineering review meeting minutes
Coordinate and conduct proposal review meetings with ACP Sales and Engineering
Draft proposal document (using PC/Microsoft Word)
Estimate material and labor costs (using FANUC America Oracle software)
Direct interface with customer
Interface with ACP engineering personnel
Solicit quotes from ACP vendors
Interface with FAC purchasing personnel as required
Document all proposal activities
Mentor for Proposal Engineers
Special assignments/reporting for ISO purposes
Maintain and update templates and costing for accuracy
Ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills and education:
Bachelor degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Degree, or equivalent relevant experience in Paint Shop Automation.
Minimum eight years robotics/paint automation (FANUC preferred) experience
Strong leadership skills
Excellent problem‑solving skills
Knowledge of automotive/industrial paint processing
Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel Software and ERP Systems
