FANUC America Corporation provides the most complete range of industry-leading robotics, CNC and motion control systems, and ROBODRILL machining centers. Our innovative technologies and proven expertise help manufacturers in the Americas to be more efficient, reliable and profitable. FANUC America is currently searching for aResearch & Development Software Engineer. Primary responsibilities will include:

• Developments of robotic and machine vision applications:

• 2-D and 3-D Machine Vision functions.

• User interface using Web-based technologies

• Evaluating and applying new technology to solve problems and bring ease of use

• Specification, design, implementation, testing, documentation, productization and customer support of software developments.

• Development and implementation of product tests and product test procedures.

• Communication with FANUC and other engineering staffs on product and development related issues.

• Present a proposed product concept to selling division and select customers.

• Ability to develop simple project schedules.

  Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

• Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Masters preferred, with a minimum of 4 years of work experience.

• Strong fundamental knowledge of Machine Vision and familiarity with the latest trends in machine vision and artificial intelligence is a plus.

• Passion for software development and advancing intelligence of industrial robots

• Strong ANSI-C language and C++ coding skills and experience with large project software development environment (configuration management, build/release)

• Significant practical development experience with Web based user interface tools ( ex. Javascript, JQuery, Ajax, HTML 5)

• Experience with FANUC’s KAREL and TPP programming languages is a plus.

• Familiarity with Open CV or PCL is a plus.

• Familiarity with Cloud-based developments is a plus.
