About the Role

The Senior System Test Engineer – is responsible for Leading and developing Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and other test setup required for verification of various ADAS product at system level

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, Develop, Commission and Deploy world class HILs and associated system test setup using technologies such as but not limited to Matlab, Simulink, dSPACE, NI Veristand, ETAS Labcar, IPG Carmaker, Vector CANoe etc. to test System-Level requirements.

  • Design and Develop Controls Test software (i.e. Rest Bus Simulation (RBS), Plant Models, Loss Models, and Closed Loop Control Algorithms etc.) and HW components required to safely test systems in the Hardware-in-the-loop environment.

  • Develop test automation scripts and libraries using industry standard test automation tools like Python, CAPL, dSPACE AutomationDesk.

  • Perform test report analysis on the test execution output files to generate plots, charts, spreadsheets, presentations etc.

  • Perform bench level tests, vehicle level tests, create reports, create defects and review them with System Test Manager

  • Define roadmap for the design of new test equipment such as HILs, RCP systems and custom Test Properties.

  • Develop and provide test infrastructure user instruction manual and training, as required, to the cross-functional team

  • Lead the planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting of all system bench testing/system test automation related activities for various ADAS projects

  • Review and mentor system test engineer system test work products such as test design, test cases, test report and defects

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in engineering or demonstrated equivalent skills. Master’s degree preferred

  • Senior Engineer : 6-10 years experience regarding Responsibility / Main Activities (listed above) in serial development or comparable experience in automotive (mandatory); electronic (preferable) industry

Your preferred qualifications

  • Working knowledge of system test process part of product life cycle

  • Working knowledge of DMM, Oscilloscope, Video Scope etc.

  • Hybrid, Hydraulic, ECU, or ADAS product/test experience desired

  • Experience with automotive requirements and design preferred

  • Working knowledge of product development and product testing engineering practices in automotive field

  • Working knowledge of ISO/IEC standards

  • Working knowledge of HIL procedures and equipment

  • Working knowledge in planned and structured approach

  • Working knowledge of problem solving techniques

  • Troubleshooting and debugging skills

  • Knowledge of structured problem solving (8D) methods and/or techniques

  • Working knowledge of configuration management, and project monitoring and control techniques (preferably PTC/MKS)

  • Matlab/Simulink, dSpace, Labview, model based development tools, CAPL, Pyhthon programming

  • Working knowledge of CAN and LIN based tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape, neoVI and other automotive networks and related tools

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office package

  • Microsoft project planning (desired)
