Job Posting: Part-Time Material Handler

Location: Rochester Hills, MI

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Are you experienced in operating a Hilo and looking for a part-time opportunity? We’re seeking a Material Handler to join our team! In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring freight is accurately handled and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with shipping and receiving operations, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders to sales orders.

• Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, and shipping requests to determine items to be moved, gathered, or shipped.

• Fulfill requisitions and distribute materials, tools, and stock items to the shipping team.

• Maintain a safe and accessible warehouse for employees and customers.

• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, completing tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Basic math skills, with or without a calculator.

• Hilo operation experience (required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Availability to work various shifts as needed.

• Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry.

• Forklift experience in a freight or Less-than-Truckload (LTL) environment.

• Experience loading and unloading trailers.

• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Pay Details: $18.50 to $19.50 per hour
