Location: Frequent visits will be required to our office in Rochester during the initial training period.

Following this, your home location can be based anywhere in the UK but willing and have the ability to frequently travel excessive distances to various remote sites across UK, Including onshore and offshore works.

suppliers. We specialise in tackling complex network solutions, Dynamic System Monitoring, Power Quality, and Generator performance monitoring.

As part of our team, you will undertake and champion installation and commissioning of high accuracy energy metering systems. Typically located in transmission substations owned and operated by our clients, often on an offshore platform. The works and services delivered by this function are associated with new large electrical grid connections, upgrades to existing metering systems or reactive visits to rectify faults

You'll make a difference by:

•Lead and deliver on-site installation and commissioning works at customers premises of new metering systems and associated solutions

•Perform SAT and SIT procedures coupled customer witness testing requirements

•Diagnosis of electrical/metering/communications faults using portable test equipment

•Ensure that installed equipment meets the health and safety and local safety requirements

•Ensure customer satisfaction to maintain company’s reputation and further enhance through exceeding expectations, delighting customers and achieving company objectives

•Take ownership of project documentation to ensure adherence and completion to expected standards (PM@Siemens - including RAMS, Commissioning and Site repots)

•Support and assist the wider project team to monitor the progress of works and ensure that the development, design, construction, testing and financial targets are met and effect remedial action where required

•Ensure that the technical standards are maintained in all aspects of project work for safe and successful project implementation

Your defining qualities/skills:

Electrical engineering or systems engineering technical background required OR a BSc/HND in an engineering discipline.

•Experience of electrical instrumentation and control systems (focus on energy metering).

•Good knowledge of power industry, high voltage transmission and distribution networks.

•Experience in ethernet connections, programming of switches & routers, for example: SCADA.

•Experience with communication protocols such as Modbus, MQTT, IEC61850, DNP3, DLMS.

•Ability to problem-solve and an engineering curiosity mindset.

•Excellent time and task management skills, who remains resilient in the face of a setback and is dedicated to achieving goals.

•Good computer skills including MS Office suite and project planning software.

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•Full driving licence.

•Relevant training and qualifications (BS 7671 17th/18th Edition Regulations, Full GWO, HUET, Medical and fitness including Chester step) advantageous.

•Knowledge and experience of precision high accuracy metering OR CT metering is advantageous (CoP1, CoP2).
