Due to our continued growth in the region, Jacobs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dry Utilities Engineer – Saudi National, to join our team in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As a Dry Utilities Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects, applying your expertise in detailed engineering and infrastructure master planning. In this dynamic position, you will have the opportunity to work independently on the design and modeling of dry utility networks and systems, such as power distribution, telecommunications, and gas pipelines. Your exceptional coordination skills will be invaluable as you collaborate with teams both in the office and remotely, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective project delivery. As a versatile and enthusiastic engineer, you will thrive in highly flexible, team-oriented environments, leveraging your exceptional communication, analytical, and technical skills to drive success. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of engineering tasks, including undertaking designs, modeling, calculations, reports, drawings, specifications, investigations, and bills of quantities for Infrastructure Dry Utilities. You will be instrumental in developing designs from concept through the detailed design process, ultimately obtaining final Authority approvals. Your expertise will be crucial in developing IFC and providing unwavering support to the construction team, ensuring the successful execution of projects. As a Dry Utilities Engineer, you will contribute to the delivery of design outputs, maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance through meticulous checking. Your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to liaise effectively with authorities, clients, consultants, contractors, and other members of the wider organization, fostering strong relationships and facilitating smooth project progression. Moreover, you will assist in reviewing and inspecting construction activities, ensuring compliance with designs, drawings, and specifications. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in reviewing and providing input on documentation, such as shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements, as required.

Here’s what you’ll need :

As a successful candidate, you will hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant engineering disciplines, complemented by at least 5 years of related engineering experience, primarily in designs and modeling of dry utility systems. Your excellent written and oral communication skills in English, coupled with a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations, will set you apart. To excel in this role, you should have experience in dry utilities design and proficiency in relevant software tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and power system modeling software. Your ability to draw and integrate utilities/infrastructure networks, perform clash analysis, and work proficiently with relevant software will be highly valued. You will thrive in this position by demonstrating a strong understanding of current technology and being adept at applying appropriate engineering software for use on projects. Your familiarity with international and local standards, such as IEC, ANSI, and Saudi Electrical Code, will be essential in ensuring compliance and delivering high-quality designs.
