Job Title: Shop Mechanic

Location: Riverton, WY

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay: $19-24/HR DOE

Job Summary: Adecco is currently helping a local client in Riverton, WY seeking a Shop Mechanic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles and machinery. This role requires strong technical expertise in both mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to use advanced tools and equipment to troubleshoot and fix issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing Issues: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify mechanical and electrical problems in vehicles and machinery.

  • Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and other preventive measures to keep equipment in optimal working condition.

  • Specialized Repairs: Conduct specialized repairs on engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other components as needed.

  • Tool and Equipment Usage: Operate and maintain advanced tools and equipment required for diagnosing and repairing vehicles and machinery.

  • Quality Assurance: Test and inspect repaired vehicles and machinery to ensure repairs have been completed correctly and that the equipment is safe to operate.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including diagnoses, repairs, parts used, and time spent on each task.

  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance and repair tasks to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Parts Ordering: Identify necessary replacement parts and coordinate with the procurement team to order them as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanic, preferably in a shop environment.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Valid driver’s license; additional certifications (e.g., ASE) are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).

  • Ability to work in various shop conditions, including standing for extended periods and working in tight spaces.

  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating tools and equipment.

Pay Details: $19.00 to $24.00 per hour
