Job Description:

Assisting Patients, Guests and Staff at Riverton Hospital

Riverton Hospital Volunteers assist in the comfort needs of patients, families and guests and enhance the patient and guest experience through a variety of service activities.

Requirements: Must be 18-years-old or older. Be available to commit to a minimum of 80-hours (6-months), which entails volunteering one day per week for 3 or 4 hours; Complete a Drug Screening and Immunization Check; Have a TB test, Pass a Background Check; Attend a New Volunteer Introduction Meeting

Volunteers will be able to choose the volunteer position, day and time that works best with their schedule during the New Volunteer Introduction and Orientation Meeting.

Qualifications:

  • Self motivated, flexible and adaptable

  • Sensitive to patient and family situations/dynamics

  • Adequate hearing and vision

  • Maintain and respect professional relationships

  • Able to work well with diverse populations

  • Physical mobility (walking, bending, standing)

  • Moderate lifting/carrying/pushing

  • Able to read, speak and understand English

  • Have an annual flu vaccination

  • Must be fully vaccinated and submit vaccination records

Please Note: We are unable to accept applicants who are seeking Court Ordered community service volunteer hours
