Growing Manufacturer in Kansas City is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Experience with AutoCAD is required as well as at least 2 years of hands-on testing of power products in a manufacturing setting. An understanding of electrical distribution principles or generators required. Some travel is required, ess than 25%. Excellent benefits and relocation provided.

responsibilities:

• Develop products from conceptual design to full manufacturing capability

• Serve as project manager for individual and larger project efforts with focus on Engineering design and ProductionUtilizes AutoCAD software for product design; Participate in design documentation reviews

• Support production in fabrication and machining, estimating & procurement

• Participate in product compliance (UL, ETL, etc.) activities

• Lead and manage regulatory testing programs to verify compliance to UL/IEC standards

• Promote and Develop Engine sales to other manufacturers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Proficiency with AutoCAD software

• Solid understanding of basic generator and electrical distribution principles

• Good attention to detail

• Hands-on testing experience with power products

• Ability to travel occasionally, less than 25%.
