The Warehouse Manager, Inbound and Inventory Control coordinates the activities of workers engaged in inbound and Inventory Control. This includes verifying and managing the flow of containers/domestic inbounds and managing product storage within the facility. The manager also serves as an example to subordinates and enforces all applicable safety rules. 

Compensation: $75K - $85K

Principle Responsibilities

  • Reviews Ocean Freight/Domestic inbounds to determine priorities, flow and capacity requirements, work assignments & equipment, and space required to meeting inbound capabilities

  • Oversees incoming products to ensure order fulfillment requirements such as accuracy, completeness, & condition of loads

  • Responsible for leading his/her shift in the efficient processing of freight, including receiving and storage.

  • Responsible all cycle counts are assigned daily and ensure completion

  • Responsible for all inventory adjustments and provide explanations

  • Responsible for all inventory allocations and seasonal changes of product and volume

  • Prepare and conduct inventories as requested

  •  Review shortage/overage claims from customers and perform CC on said items

  • Review month-end process for Inbound receipts and provide reports month-end results

  • Inspects material handling equipment for defects & notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair

  • Issue written & oral instructions

  • Responsible for adherence & execution of standardized procedures

  • Work closely with HR and 3rd party temporary agencies

  • Promote and maintain a safety culture through scheduled training and daily meetings

  • Conduct facility walkthroughs to identify issues and opportunities

  • Maintain good housekeeping in the area & adhere to established Company Safety policies at all times

  • Oversee the use of RF scanners and troubleshoot when needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • A high school diploma/GED or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a warehouse environment working with equipment and machinery

  • Minimum one year supervisory experience

  • Knowledge and expertise in distribution operations and facility management

  • Broad knowledge of material handling, warehouse operations, and transportation systems required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel

  • Awareness of OSHA safety rules required

  • SAP knowledge a plus

  • RF proficiency a plus
