Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer in the Manufacturing industry, based in Riverside, California. As a Senior Network Engineer, your role will entail the development, deployment, and management of network and security systems. You will be expected to perform network maintenance and upgrades, manage network disaster recovery procedures, and implement network security tools and policies.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, manage, and act as the escalation point for managed network and security systems.

• Design, maintain and administer hybrid network devices and services, including AS400, VPNs, routers, switches, and other physical and virtual networking systems.

• Install, configure, secure, and troubleshoot hybrid networks and network equipment, both physical and virtual.

• Implement and maintain network disaster recovery procedures in line with the company's policies.

• Create firewall rules, update virus protection software, and maintain data security systems.

• Troubleshoot and resolve network communication issues and provide Level-2/3 support.

• Administer network within the bounds of established configuration and change management policies.

• Act as a vendor liaison for all network-related problems and resolutions.

• Implement network security tools, policies, and procedures in collaboration with IT security team personnel.

• Maintain company security scorecard and remediate any vulnerabilities. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required.

• Professional certification such as CCNP or CCIE is highly desirable.

• Extensive experience with network architecture, design, and implementation in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in network hardware including servers, routers, switches, and other computer equipment.

• Proficiency in Cisco technologies, VLAN, WAN technologies, switching protocols, and network security.

• Experience with configuration management, authentication, and deployment.

• Familiarity with firewall technologies, IP protocol, network migration, and network troubleshooting.

• Ability to manage and upgrade network systems as needed.

• Knowledge of wireless technologies, cloud technologies, and VMWare technologies.

• Experience with Dell switches, LAN switching, Meraki, and SD-WAN.

• Proficiency in project management and documentation.

• Familiarity with cabling, gateways, MPLS, and servers.

• Ability to work well in a team, collaborate with other departments, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically.

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical staff.
