    About the position

    TheDirector of Social Services/Program Coordinator,under the direction of the Regional Director of Social Services, is expected to design, implement, and coordinate social service activities and programs within assigned affordable housing complexes. The DSS/PC is responsible for the following duties necessary to successfully support the residents served by LifeSTEPS.

    Core Duties - Director of Social Services

  • Empower low-income individuals and families to flourish by providing education and resources.

  • Ensure our residents, specifically older adults to have an opportunity to thrive in place through housing and services.

  • Encourage individuals and families through stable housing and supportive evidence-based services to build resilient communities.

  • Maximize the strengths of individuals by providing client assistance, case management, service coordination, and conducting community outreach.


    Core Duties  -  Program Coordinator

  • Empower children from low-income and underserved families to flourish by providing after-school education and resources.

  • Ensure our young individuals a caring and safe place to go to after school to get assistance with homework and academic enrichment.

  • Encourage children to thrive and become empowered so they can develop into resilient adults.


    Job Specifics:

  • Official Job Title: On-Call Director Social Services / On-Call Program Coordinator

  • Job classification: Non-Exempt, varies per week

  • Job Location: Riverside, Ca.

  • Pay as a Director of Social Services: $19.00 per hour

  • Pay as a Program Coordinator:  $15.00 per hour


    Education and/or Experience and/or License Certification:


  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field.

  • Two (2) years of experience in a similar environment providing social services.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree.
