About being our Land Surveyor

As ourLand Surveyor,you will work on some of the coolest projects throughout California. You will be a part of a growing but established team who has skill sets of all levels you can learn from. We believe mentoring is key and want our employees to grow into complete and well-rounded surveyors. Your day could be as simple as helping process and develop a topographic map, to researching and analyzing a complex boundary. We are on the forefront of technology and have opportunities for you to become heavily involved in lidar scan data acquisition, processing, and extracting and or GPS technology.

Responsibility Highlights for our Land Surveyor

  • Organize and coordinate projects which include a broad range of assignments requiring knowledge of surveying/mapping/construction
  • Support all aspects of land surveying, which may include research and analysis, title reports, right of way engineering, ALTA surveys, design surveys, topography, photogrammetry, LiDAR, Point Cloud processing, boundaries and mapping, construction staking, and preparing legal descriptions exhibits, R/W plan sheets and records of surveys
  • Prepare preliminary and final maps, Record of Surveys, Corners Records, Site Plans, ALTA Surveys, 3-D exhibits and digital data files using appropriate CAD drafting programs
  • Modify drawings as directed by survey project manager and project surveyor
  • Arrange survey and engineer drawings and designs to ensure adherence of established state, city, and county specifications and standards
  • Assist in creating base Survey drawings from agreed work scope
  • Support other team members as needed to meet project deliverable timelines

Desired Qualifications to be ourLand Surveyor

  • 5-8 years of direct surveying experience
  • 3-5 years of experience with working knowledge of CAD Software
  • Proficient in CAD (AutoCAD, MicroStation a plus)
  • Knowledge of Land Surveying, Geospatial Awareness and Civil Engineering terms
  • Experience in processing field data and electronic files
