Position Summary
This is a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position whose responsibilities include teaching, advising, service, research or other scholarly activity and directing the Clinical Exercise Physiology ( CEP ) master’s degree program. The person has an educational background and professional experience in the exercise science field.
Responsibilities
Direct and teach the equivalent of 12 credits in the CEP program as assigned
Advise graduate students
Engage in research or other scholarly activity
Provide service to the department, college, university, community, and profession
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Required
Master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or closely related field
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a clinical cardiac rehabilitation program
Demonstrated potential for research and scholarly activity, with emphasis in clinical exercise physiology
Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to diverse student populations and ability to contribute to the University’s commitment to enhancing student awareness and appreciation of diverse ethnic and cultural heritages
Demonstrated ability to advise and mentor graduate students
Preferred
A minimum of two (2) years teaching experience at the college level
ACSM or AACVPR certification in clinical exercise physiology
