Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong electro-mechanical proficiency to join our team. You will work with specialized equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), to control machinery on factory assembly lines. Your responsibilities include carrying out routine maintenance work, responding to equipment faults, writing maintenance strategies, diagnosing breakdown problems, and fitting new parts to ensure equipment is functioning correctly. You will also liaise with Production and Procurement departments, assist with specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings, or components, and control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment while applying 5S practices. You will monitor, minimize, and control maintenance downtime and material costs, and effectively handle emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs.

Hard Skills

  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience with machining and metal fabrication

  • Strong electro-mechanical back ground

  • Ability to suggest and implement approved design changes to increase efficiency, throughput, and uptime

  • Capacity to understand a range of supervising functions and procedures

Soft Skills

  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate others

  • Teamworking skills to work cooperatively and liaise with people at all levels

  • Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills

  • Confidence to respond positively when under pressure

  • Punctuality and reliability

Monday to Friday- multiple shifts available
