Samsung SDS America Senior Java Developer, Full Stack in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey
Position Summary:
Samsung SDS America is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join our team.
As a Senior Full Stack Java Developer, you will play a pivotal role with assisting in the maintenance, development, and implementation of our web-based applications. The successful candidate will have a solid development background across multiple technical disciplines, including J2EE web application development, Java client/server development, and database development. The role will primarily involve web application system maintenance and server-side design and programming work, with some involvement in traditional user interface and application module development.

The team works a hybrid schedule (3 days office/2 days remote) at our regional headquarters in Ridgefield Park, NJ.

Responsibilities:
Perform web application system maintenance and server-side design and programming work
Develop Angular user interface and application modules
Utilize different build tools such as DevOps CI/CD pipeline, Maven/Ant, source control (Git-Hub), and eclipse development tool
Implement web applications using Spring framework, myBatis, and JQuery
Work with multiple operating systems, including Windows and Linux server platforms
Collaborate with team members and stakeholder throughout the development lifecycle from requirements gathering and brainstorming to analysis, coding, testing, and documentation
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to existing applications for business functions and technical structural layout
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
10+ years of high level Java/J2EE experience
Hands-on experience in Servlets, JSP, Spring, Hibernate, WebLogic/Tomcat
Proficiency in web UI technologies such as Angular 5, bootstrap, JQuery, HTML/CSS, Ajax, and JavaScript
Strong server-side technical skills, including SQL (Oracle and MSSQL), Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Batch Framework, myBatis, Java/J2EE
Familiar with Cloud Native Application Development practices
Basic knowledge of cloud-native application skills, including microservices architecture, containerization, and DevOps CI/CD practices
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create software design and engineering documents
Ability to work independently or within a team environment
Strong multitasking abilities with the capability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
