Our client is a leading research-driven pharmaceutical company dedicated to advancing treatment options for diseases and conditions lacking satisfactory solutions. The company is looking for a Veterinarian specializing in laboratory animal medicine to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative research and make a meaningful impact!

Location : Ridgefield, CT

Pay : $90/hr

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive veterinary medical and surgical care to laboratory animals.

• Develop and implement IACUC protocols and guidelines for animal care and use.

• Conduct preventive health monitoring and ensure the welfare of the animal colony.

• Offer training and verification for animal users, ensuring compliance with AAALAC and GLP standards.

• Respond to IACUC concerns promptly and professionally.

• Mentor junior staff and participate in their training and development.

• Conduct environmental monitoring to maintain optimal living conditions for animals.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) required.

• Licensed in a U.S. state (required) with eligibility for licensing in Connecticut; ACLAM certification preferred.

• Experience in a research animal facility or pharmaceutical environment (toxicology) is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of animal handling and care protocols.
