Duties

• SMALL BUSINESS/SELF EMPLOYED(SB/SE) DIVISION

Typical duties can include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Auditing various types of tax returns to determine tax liability of individual taxpayers, businesses, or corporations.
• Interpreting and applying pertinent parts of the Internal Revenue Code and related regulations and procedures.
• Making determinations on liability for Federal taxes.
• Investigating alleged criminal violations of Federal tax statutes and making recommendations for criminal prosecution and assertion of civil penalties.
• Experience using business practices, basic accounting principles, and Federal tax laws and regulations to audit tax records, analyze systems and bookkeeping, and use fact-finding techniques.

• met time-in-grade requirements;
• performed at an acceptable level of competence; and

The actual Tour of Duty will be defined at job offer. Day Shift - Monday-Friday Start and stop times between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Swing Shift - Monday-Friday Start and stop times between 2:00 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. - This is aFull Time Permanent appointment.
