The Digital Assistant team in OHAI is tasked with building the next generation platform for conversational AI applications. Leveraging the advancements in Generative AI technologies, we seek to re-imagine healthcare applications and experience for both patients and clinicians.

We are seeking a hands-on Principal software engineer who shares our passion and excitement in building our new platform. As a team member, you will lead efforts to design features and components for the platform working with Product and UX as well as other teams within OHAI. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers. As a team member you will own the complete SDLC from architecture, development, testing, first class monitoring, to production.


  • BS or MS in Computer Science

  • 12+ years of experience building enterprise systems and applications

  • Proficient in Java, exposure to Javascript, Python desirable

  • Conversational AI experience highly desirable, experience in healthcare space a plus

  • Experience with or exposure to latest LLM and generative AI technologies and frameworks

  • Solid understanding of user management and runtime security

  • Experienced at building highly available services, possessing knowledge of common service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment

  • Experience with production operations and best practices for putting quality code in production and troubleshooting issues when they arise

  • Able to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams, and presentations)

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
