Vectrus Programs Manager in Richmond, Virginia

Overview

This position is physically located in Ladysmith, VA

The Program Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of critical service contracts supporting United States Marine Corps Commands worldwide. Oversee projects at mutable locations, both CONUS and OCONUS, having the ability to travel to these locations. This entails sufficient corporate authority to manage, direct, execute and control cost, schedule and performance of active programs. The PM shall coordinate all activities related to the USMC portfolio business performance. They shall work closely with the CoR/AcoR and V2X site leads to resolve any issues that may arise during the execution of the scope of work.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

  • Program Manager is the single point of contact for all USMC contracts within the Land Service business unit

  • Oversee and ensure that all contract requirements are met, the systems are maintained at required operational levels and general operation of the entire business

  • Responsibilities include personnel management, budgeting and budget administration, business operations, daily communications both internal within the company, the USMC and other external customers

  • Manage supply chain and logistics, strategic planning, customer service, contract management

  • Development of policies, SOP's and other written reports, briefings and directives, attending all internal and external meetings and overall responsibility for every aspect of program management, contract management, and meeting all internal and external goals and milestones

  • Deliver executive experience with written communications, reports, briefings, creating and maintaining appropriate documentation, problem identification, analysis and resolutions, excellent multi tasking skills, business operations planning and administration

  • Responsible for leading and ensuring program management life-cycle planning

  • Responsible for approval of all schedules, budgets, invoicing, documents, personnel, directing all work, tasks, contract compliance, Responsible for converting all projects to full time sustainment support under this program after project completion

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Computers, Microsoft Office Suite of Applications, and other software products as required and standard office equipment

Qualifications

Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  • Associate degree in applied science; Major in Auto Mechanics is strongly preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must be able to obtain a clearance

  • Have a passport or be able to obtain a passport

    Experience:

  • 15-20 years of experience associated with maintenance and logistics supporting the Untied United States Marine Corps

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional experience with Project Management Institute training or PMP certification

    Skills:

  • Expert-level knowledge of USMC logistics process.

  • Specific knowledge regarding USMC procurement policies

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manages a department of up to 60 employees through section leads direct reports. Overall leadership responsibility for the program.

    Working Conditions:

  • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with adverse conditions (i.e., hot, dry, tropical environment with average temperatures of 82 degrees tropical weather. The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

  • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

  • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

  • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
