Job Summary

Dominion Energy is seeking a strong leader to join our team. This role is only to be used within the Project Construction group. This role will lead a team of both Dominion Energy employees and contractors responsible for the following 3 key areas within the Project Controls Organization: 1) Analytical and Regulatory Management, 2) Critical Systems Management, and 3) Document Management. Analytical & Regulatory Management - Lead a team responsible for the development and presentation of executive level reports, progress metrics and key performance indicators, process management of financial services (including planning, budgeting, analysis, etc.). Manages and provides detailed analytics on annual and 5-year financial plan process. Manages monthly Project Construction forecasting processes for company growth projects. Provides leadership on critical financial issues and analysis. Provides proactive executive support. Manages operational review process. Manages service agreement process with other Dominion business units. Maintains consolidated data and analytics for the health, safety & environmental databases for the organization. Responsible for the oversight, preparation, and coordination of documents, testimony and interrogatory responses supporting Project Construction (PC) in annual A5/A6 rider filings, biennial reviews, IRP filings, and North Carolina rate cases. Ensures consistency and accuracy of information, testimony, and interrogatory responses filed in the Company regulatory cases. Reviews submitted documents and draft testimony to ensure alignment with Company strategy and objectives in current and potential future cases. Manages quarterly project updates to Investor Relations for external corporate financial reports. Responsible for development and updating senior management monthly reports and IRC/BOD presentations as needed. Critical Systems Management - Providing data management, user access, and application support for Project Construction. Coordinates user permissions and support for core Project Construction systems including Aconex, eRoom, SharePoint, OneNote, and Everbridge. Maintains consolidated department and project dashboard. Recommends and manages process improvements across the core Project Construction systems including the document management applications. Interfaces regularly with corporate Information Technology team to address user access issues, system enhancements, and the rollout of new applications. Document Management - Manages the document management staff responsible for tracking and storing all project related documents (drawings, worksheets, procedures, etc.) generated during the lifecycle of a large construction project in the cloud-based Aconex system. Coordinates the workload with Dominion staff and contractors as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in directly related field in financial management and analysis; accounting standards and practices; pricing; cost allocation; budgeting.

  • High level of proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Power Point, and SharePoint. Ability to analyze large amounts of data and quickly summarize to senior management.

  • Ability to multi-task and coordinate several projects simultaneously in a team environment.

  • Team player with strong customer focus skills, must be able to effectively interface with both application users, the project teams, and senior management. Strong proven leadership ability.

  • Strong independent judgment and decision-making skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Familiar with document management application such as Aconex, eRoom, Documentum, or any other cloud-based document systems.

  • General knowledge of the heavy construction industry.

Education Requirements

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelors
