Ameresco Finance/Accounting Intern in Richmond Hill, Ontario

Excellent opportunity to obtain experience in accounting and finance by executing a range of financial activities such as accounts payable, receivable, tax, month-end close, and ad hoc analysis, and financial reporting. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to interface with other functional groups and leaders and work on other special projects.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to, and working closely with, the Staff Accountant, the Finance/Accounting Intern is responsible for:

  • Assist with financial analysis and reporting tasks under the guidance of experienced professionals.

  • Conduct research and gather data to support decision-making processes.

  • Collaborate with various teams to complete projects and tasks within deadlines.

  • Help maintain accurate and organized financial records and documents.

  • Take on special projects and assignments as needed.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • University Student

Additional Qualifications:

  • Excellent time management and communication skills.

  • Experienced in the use of the Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project).

  • Able to work independently to complete tasks.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to provide updates on progress and ask for guidance.

  • Previous accounting internship and/or relevant work experience
