Social Security Administration Project Officer (TEMP) in Richmond, California

Summary LOCATION: This position is located in the Western Program Service Center, 1221 Nevin Ave. Richmond, CA. TOUR OF DUTY: Full-time; Flextime and Alternate work schedules may be available. You may also view the full position description on the Agency intranet at the following link: PD Search Provides leadership, guidance, mentoring, and coaching to team leaders and/or teams of analysts or other staff responsible for providing support for Processing Center Operations (PCO) in one or more of the following: RSI or DI Operations/program analysis, RSI or DI program integration; systems initiatives, automation support and high level or national administrative assignments. Also, responsible for identifying and interpreting RSI or DI issues PCO wide and playing a key role in region-wide and/or national efforts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience include: Knowledge of SSA's Program Operations, Policies, and Procedures; Experience conducting analysis and evaluating operational/program work processes; Comprehensive knowledge of the functions, organizational structure, program goals, and objectives of program service centers and SSA components; Ability to develop short and long-range plans in accordance with broad Agency/PCO program policies and objectives; Ability to communicate orally and provide technical advice; and the ability to communicate in writing. Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Applicants for promotion must have 52 weeks at GS-13. Time in grade requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Education Additional Information Position to be filled under the provisions of the SSA/AFGE Merit Promotion Plan. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended or become permanent. This is not a career ladder position; GS-14 is the full performance level. This position is eligible for telework. Travel expenses for temporary assignments will be paid as appropriate according to applicable travel rules and/or regulations.
