Where the team fits in

The Financial Services team, where we are reimagining the future of exceptional home lending consumer experiences and next generation marketplaces. The financial services team is accountable for strategy development and execution, working with our partners to build our capability and product offerings, leading sales management and engaging across the other lines of business in REA.

What the role is all about

The Product Analyst will deliver key insights, highlight product opportunities, and make recommendations to optimise our product experiences and support strategic objectives. You will play a crucial role in leveraging data to drive product improvements, enhance the user experience, and deliver value to the business. As the key Product Experience analytical resource, you will work closely with Product, Technology and Marketing teams to champion data driven decision making. Your role will include support to:

  • Derive key Insights for Impact and support decision making for our strategic initiatives and product roadmaps.

  • Communicate insights and recommendations through strong visualisation reporting and verbal story telling.

  • Track product performance indicators and product metrics (e.g. traffic, engagement etc.) over its lifecycle to identify trends and patterns to promote data-driven product improvements.

  • Scan the market to identify consumer, market, competitor, and product trends that influence the product strategy and recommend appropriate directional changes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help develop product marketing strategies and improve the user experience.

  • Utilise varying analytics solutions such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics to plan and conduct analysis to support initiatives including attribution, conversion rate optimisation and user experience.

Who we’re looking for

  • An understanding of consumer financial services is highly desirable, however, if you’re proactive and curious to better understand the challenges to understanding and getting finance, and passionate about solving those problems we’re happy!

  • Experience with digital products is key for this role

  • You’ll be skilled in analysing complex data sets to identify trends and patterns and applying analytical concepts to product development and market research.

  • You’ll be experienced with digital analytics solutions (preferably Google and Adobe Analytics)

  • Experience with A/B & multivariate testing, with good knowledge of best practices for measurement and Insights.

  • Ability to work with our data and tagging teams to ensure we capture, and structure required data

  • Exceptional storytelling, visualisation and stakeholder engagement skills to clearly communicate insights

  • Commercially aware – you will be comfortable talking numbers and evaluating commercial opportunities. 

  • You’re a self-starter who can work independently and build effective relationships with stakeholders across all levels within the organisation.

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to analyse market information and data to develop compelling commercial cases to prove viability of product opportunities

  • Basic SQL skills to query and transform data from large databases (I.e Google Big Query) are beneficial
