Where the team fits in

The Lifecycle Marketing Manager role (12-month parental leave cover) sits within REA Group’s Financial Services business, as part of the Corporate Communications, Events & Franchise Marketing team for the Mortgage Choice brand. This team delivers essential services to our 1,000 brokers around the country – keeping our network engaged and informed, and helping brokers more effectively connect with their clients and communities.

You’ll report to the Senior Manager, Franchise Marketing, and will have one direct report.

You’ll be helping us deliver best-in-class lifecycle marketing programs to drive leads and nurture the customers of our mortgage broking network and experiment with personalised journeys from our realestate.com.au consumers to help funnel them to our Mortgage Choice business. We are looking for someone who possesses strong communication and analytical skills, enjoys working with people day in and day out and has the confidence to influence others. What the role is all about

  • Driving the lifecycle marketing strategy to build effective and robust lifecycle marketing programs to attract, nurture and retain leads

  • Designing and delivering monthly newsletters, to engage and inform our contact database, positioning Mortgage Choice as industry leaders.

  • Managing, updating and crafting targeted email marketing templates to support brokers in managing their own bulk email sends in Hubspot

  • Managing the customer contact and segmentation strategy to deliver the right message to the right person at the right time

  • Planning and building customer communications journeys in HubSpot to nurture leads, conversions, referrals, cross-sell and customer retention for our Mortgage Choice broker business with the opportunity to build personalised consumers journeys from the realestate.com.au audience to grow the Mortgage Choice database

  • Developing and delivering continual testing and improvements to be managed with Hubspot and Braze for lifecycle email communications, with the goal of proving incremental uplift in client engagement and lead conversion

  • Managing audience targeting for customer emails sent on broker’s behalf and recommending audience targeting for communication sends managed by brokers; monitoring counts, campaign proofing, testing and launching within HubSpot and Braze

  • Developing reporting capabilities in HubSpot to enable stakeholders to self-serve email performance

  • Analysing campaign performance and finding new ways to deliver outcomes through ongoing optimisation and experimentation - providing regular reporting on performance and opportunities to stakeholders

  • Managing and implementing best practice with the Customer and Broker preference centres in Hubspot to continuously deliver a seamless, tailored and positive customer experience

  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation of lifecycle marketing and marketing automation developments.

  • Working closely with suppliers and vendors to deliver lifecycle marketing capabilities and personalised content.

Who we’re looking for

  • Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g. marketing, business)

  • 8+ years experience in the lifecycle marketing space

  • Proven track record managing a large-scale customer communications program

  • Experience working with a marketing automation platform to implement trigger-based relationship/lifecycle programs – HubSpot and Braze experience desired

  • Experience working in a franchise business preferred but not essential

  • Someone technically savvy and strong at all aspects of campaign creation and management - who can happily troubleshoot HTML problems or any data issues

  • Deep understanding of CRM (data fields/structures) and their application within lifecycle marketing

  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating great user experiences

  • A curious mindset and happy to dive in and solve tricky problems

  • Someone who can adapt and thrive in an evolving environment

  • Ability to collaborate and influence people across the business

  • Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment
