PBS Engineering and Environmental Survey Party Chief in Richland, Washington
This position will provide key support to our Eastern Washington operations by performing field work and managing a small team with the best in field equipment. Our varied and diverse multi-disciplinary projects include topographic and ALTA surveys, subdivision construction staking, boundary, and cadastral work.
\$29 to \$35 hourly, full-time with benefits, approximately 95% field work, 5% office
*Minimum Qualifications: *
- 4 years of progressive survey field experience
- Experienced in the use of automatic total stations, robotic total stations, data collectors, static GPS data acquisition, RTK GPS surveys, researching, and various software
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- A valid driver\'s license
- Proven ability to assign daily tasks to survey field crew, provide technical guidance for projects and maintain professionalism in their work
- Self-motivated, team oriented, and have a strong work ethic
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Manage crew personnel
- Conduct Boundary, Topographic, ALTA, and Construction staking.
- Use various survey equipment, including robotic total station, RTK, and Static GPS Units
- Create neat, accurate, and professional field notes
- Quality Control by reviewing final maps/plans for completion and accuracy
- Complete projects and special assignments as requested
- Responsible for maintenance of survey equipment, inventories, and crew trucks
