- Job #8084 Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Senior Nuclear Project Manager position will manage large, complex projects and programs, overseeing planning, scheduling, and control activities independently. The role involves leading project teams of more than ten people, handling high-risk, high-investment projects, and ensuring project priorities are met. Responsibilities include managing budgets, coordinating with multiple disciplines and organizations, mentoring other project managers, and recommending improvements to project management processes. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA. Pay rate: $58.21 - $102.38 Benefits:

- Manage project activities for refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line work, ensuring safe, quality, on-schedule, and on-budget execution.
- Oversee staff in planning, leading, controlling, and monitoring project implementation.
- Develop budgets and track cost versus budget for assigned projects.
- Prepare work packages, procure parts, and plan for ALARA, industrial, and nuclear safety.
- Prioritize work, allocate resources, manage risk, and resolve schedule delays and conflicts.
- Develop and manage contracts, and interface with vendors.
- Create and manage project schedules, focusing on risk management, progress tracking, accountability, and critical path management.
- Mentor less experienced project managers.
- Communicate project progress and details to various groups, including senior management.
- Develop and maintain long-range strategies for assigned projects.
- Support the implementation of the Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.
- Provide outage support, including OCC. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from accredited college or university and 20 years of experience in a technical field;
- OR an AA/AS degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from accredited college or university and 22 years of experience in a technical field;
- OR a High School Diploma or GED and 24 years of experience in a technical field.
- An advanced degree in a related field of study or business may be accepted in lieu of 2 years of experience.
- RO/SRO License or CGS Management Certification is required.
- Project Management certification is required.
- Construction Management Certification.
- Extensive work experience as a direct supervisor or project manager in the commercial nuclear industry, focused on maintenance, operations, engineering, or construction.
- Nuclear plant operator production coordination experience and work management experience in conducting and coordinating plant production work.
- Expert Panel Interview (oral board).
- Knowledge of error reduction and human performance improvement methods, and cost-effective work execution methodologies.
- Experience managing complex projects, on-line work management, or refueling and forced outage activities.
- Advanced project management techniques at Commercial Nuclear Power Plants or similar facilities.
