Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist Support

Location: Richland, WA

Compensation: $115,000 - $120,000 depending on work-related experience.

AttainX is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Support Specialist to join our team in Richland, WA to support our client, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

 

Qualifications (minimum required):

  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience with QA oversight as either a NQA-1 lead auditor or NQA-1 auditor
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in QA oversight of nuclear construction, commissioning, maintenance and operation activities
  • Expertise in corrective action programs and causal analysis

Qualifications (preferred experience):

  • Working knowledge of DOE policies and procedures
  • Expert writing skills, proven experience in supporting programs and projects with analysis, tracking, monitoring, assessment, review and coordination
  • Excellent communications skills (written and oral)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Word, MS PowerPoint, and/or other MS Office tools
  • Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors
  • U.S. Citizenship

     

Job Duties:

  • Provide oversight of Direct Feed Low Activity Waste (DFLAW) commissioning, maintenance and operation programs to verify QA program requirements are implemented.
  • Perform QA surveillance/audit and reports for DFLAW, DFLAW interfaces with other contractors, High Level Waste (HLW) and Office of River Protection (ORP) programs.
  • Communicate the results of the surveillances/audits through reports and oral presentations.
  • Review programs for identifying, correcting and tracking non-compliances.
  • Evaluate QA performance based upon metrics and other data.
  • Support DFLAW Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).
  • Review causal analysis and actions taken to prevent the recurrence of conditions adverse to quality.
  • Ensure oversight results are entered into the integrated Contractor Assurance System (iCAS) database.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance Division (QAD) staff and coordination meetings.
  • Utilize excellent writing and communication skills in all interactions.
