SC Department of Public Safety Accountant - Columbia in Richland County, South Carolina

Job Responsibilities This position reports to the Finance department in Columbia. Incumbent performs accounting analysis for sub-funds; monitors and verifies less complex financial data and transactions; reconciles complex general ledger accounts; and prepares journal entries resulting from account analysis. Prepares and verifies routine and ad hoc financial reporting, statements, and reporting for varying stakeholders in accordance with agency financial controls and reporting procedures. Minimum and Additional Requirements A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and at least two years of professional experience directly related, such as accounting, auditing, or finance.
