What You Will Do:

• Modify/create engineering design documentation.

• Debug and integrate software components.

• Support and enhance existing software products as necessary.

• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Testers, Hardware Engineers, and Project Engineers .

• Design, develop, implement, test, and debug software applications

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• All work is onsite at our Richardson, TX facility

• You will gain valuable experience & an opportunity to collaborate with other Senior and Principal Level Software Engineers, Product Owner and Software Leads

• You will learn the software development process, to include working with software requirements, verification and test phases, etc.

  Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with Agile development practices

• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Git)

• Experience developing for Linux platforms

• Object oriented design and UML modelling

• Understanding of Virtual Machines

• Understanding of Containers and Containers orchestration.

• Understanding of microservices.

• Target based debugging experience

• Experience performing static and dynamic code analysis

• Understanding of well-disciplined in software engineering processes and methodologies

• Understanding of well-disciplined configuration management practices

• Understanding of software quality processes including software peer reviews

• Proficiency in industry standard software development tools (such as Subversion, Git, Enterprise Architect, Coverity or equivalents)

• Developing software for military applications and/or experience of working government programs

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
