Collins Aerospace, Digital Technology , is hiring a Systems Administrator for our Secure Labs support team. A minimum Collateral Secret is required . Qualified candidates should have a passion for technology and be excited about finding new ways to add value to our business.

* This position is onsite in Richardson , TX . *

What YOU will do:

• You will be a subject matter expert (SME) on the team in one or more of the following technologies:

  • Virtualization

  • Servers

  • Clients

  • Networking

  • Storage

  • Backup

• You will regularly work with other members of the organization as part of a cross functional team and/or leads cross-functional initiatives.  

• You will build strong relationships with customers and peers.  

• You will assist in developing derived technical and security requirements. Ensures use cases, user profiles, workflow, and requirements are accurate and complete.  

• You will help to develop budgets for enterprise projects in the following areas:

  • Infrastructure

  • Labor

• You will help to create a solution m atrix w/ cost & schedule based on the project requirements . 

• You will work to review and define technology standards.  

• You will assist in driving escalations to resolution.

• You will participate in improvement of internal processes (LEAN/ACE/CORE)  

• You will use your advected knowledge to facilitate resolution of new and existing complex solutions .

• You will advise on the technical solutions to support the projects you are assigned.

• You will be a key focal contact for a med/large infrastructure teams on the initiatives they are assigned .

• Provide SME support for the Tier1 and Tier2 infrastructure teams .

• Support basic Linux use cases.

  Qualifications you must have :

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

• Experience supporting technology in a professional environment, secure environment experience preferred:

  • Desktop Support, Server Administration, and Virtualization Technologies (VM Ware, etc.) 

  • Linux Systems Administration 

  • Networking (important) 

  • Compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53) 

• Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification ( ex. Sec+ ) . Active cert preferred.

• Ability to obtain technical certifications in one of the following technologies (Virtualization, Networ king, Windows Administration, or Linux)

• A bility to obtain a Collateral Secret Govt. Security C learance , up to Top Secret . Active C learance is preferred.

  Skills We Value:

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
