Responsible for implementing comprehensive donor relations and oversight of all annual fund programs that meet the goals and objectives of the Methodist Richardson Medical Center Foundation and Methodist Health System (MHS).

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 5 years of non-profit work experience in development or related project experience.

  • Must be able to demonstrate success in leading major donor relations initiatives.

  • Must be able to demonstrate success in managing events or projects.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Ability to function both as a collaborative member of a team and a self-starter who requires minimal supervision

  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals/groups at all levels in the community and with MHS staff

  • Demonstrate experience supporting volunteers and laying the groundwork for successful projects

  • Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to demonstrate strong persuasion and strategic thinking skills

  • Capable of managing diverse tasks, setting priorities, handling sensitive situations, and meeting deadlines

  • Ability to make good decisions based on analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with staff, volunteer committees, and stakeholders in planning and implementing special events and donor cultivation activities. This includes clearly and consistently supporting timelines, volunteer efforts, vendor supervision, managing budgets, organizing, troubleshooting, gift reporting and tracking, and completing events.

  • Develop a donor pipeline through identification, research, cultivation, and solicitation of donors while preparing them for major gifts.

  • Manage to internal controls that promote adherence to applicable state/federal laws.

  • Responsible for identifying and securing corporate and community sponsors for all events.

  • Manages employee giving, physician giving, grateful patient, and tribute programs.

  • Participates in direct marketing program by developing and executing strategies to acquire, steward, and retain high-quality donors through monthly giving programs and single-gift appeals, using integrated campaigns.

  • Manage donor communication plan including newsletter and annual report.

  • Under the direction of the Director of the Foundation, develop an industry-leading annual giving plan and budget, with a focus on strategic long-term growth.

  • Utilize the database to segment donors for appeals and special events.

  • Works effectively with Foundation board members to integrate their knowledge and skills into the annual giving plan and project management.
