Legrand NA Accounting Analyst II in Richardson, Texas

Position Description

At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for aAccounting Analyst IIto join theWattstopper TeaminRichardson, TX. Responsible for assisting with review of financial statements, journal entries, G/L account reconciliations, prepaid assets, payroll accounts, sales tax accounts, and fixed assets. Provide support to the Finance Department to meet internal (Legrand) and external (audit/tax) reporting requirements.

What Will You Do?

  • Analyzes and reconciles Prepaid accounts and Expenses.

  • Prepares and maintains all Payroll and Benefits Accounting.

  • Manages the Sales Tax process and ensures that all Sales Tax accounts are reconciled, and the sales tax returns are filed \timely.

  • Tracks fixed asset expenditures and approvals, maintain fixed asset database, and reconcile accounts.

  • Completes the month-end closing within 3 days by coordinating and booking journal entries, reconciling accounts, analyzing variances and trends, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger data.

  • Resolves any discrepancies or irregularities in records, statements, and/or documented transactions.

  • Assists with monthly financial reporting and reports.

  • Assists in identifying performance improvement opportunities across the organization.

  • Closely monitors cost center performance and coordinates with business partners on corrective actions.

  • Assists with externa/internal audits and tax requirements.

  • Performs other similar and related duties as required.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • BA degree in Accounting.

  • Minimum 3 years experience.

    Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Requires close attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors.

  • Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.

  • Exceptional computer skills, extensive knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and data base software, proficiency with various e-mail, calendaring, meeting management and related communications software.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation and to give and receive detailed/complex and sensitive information, and process that information appropriately. A team player mentality is required.

  • Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business.
