ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY As a SQL Database Administrator / Web Developer, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a talented team of professionals. Your role will be critical in supporting our Customer in Reynoldsburg, OH. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing a MySQL database system in production environments, familiarity with cloud-based database solutions, and proficiency in implementing partitioning and sharding strategies. SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Responsible for the database availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning for the DB.
• Primary focus will be managing our databases in an Azure cloud environment.
• Responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our database systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of Database Administrator experience with expertise in MySQL.
• Expert level MySQL DB knowledge required.
• Experience with MySQL working with large data volumes.
• 3+ years of web / software / application development experience.
• Experience in database sharding and partitioning.
• Tuning, backing up (full/incremental) MySQL databases.
• Strong understanding of InnoDB and InnoDB tuning.
• Selected candidate will be expected to work Eastern Standard hours.
• Candidates must be U.S. Citizens.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with following programming languages a plus: HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, JSON.
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS web development and deployment.
