Google Technical Program Manager, Public Sector in Reston, Virginia

This position requires that the candidate selected currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate will obtain a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform GPS work. Failure to maintain (or obtain, if applicable) the appropriate U.S. Government clearance and/or customer screening requirements that results in the employee unable to perform the requirements of the role, may result in employment action up to and including termination.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in program management.

  • 5 years of experience in technology consulting, or similar in the federal government space.

  • Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with Polygraph.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with organizing chaos associated with complex program, and navigating ambiguity, while introducing the right level of structure.

  • Experience with various project management tools/methodologies and respective tradeoffs.

  • Familiarity with GenAI frameworks, models, and tools.

  • Being proactive and willing to drive technical discussions or resolve technical issues with Engineering leads.

  • GCP or PMP certifications.

You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager, your mission will be to equip government agencies with Google Cloud's technology, supporting their critical missions and serving the public good.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Lead and manage multiple large-scale, cross-functional technical programs with significant impact on the organization's strategic goals.

  • Establish relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment and buy-in throughout the program lifecycle.

  • Plan and prioritize implementation tasks for features including scope, schedule, resource allocation, risk management, and communication strategies.

  • Track and report program progress against key milestones and metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability.

  • Develop tools and processes to improve software engineering productivity.
