SOS International LLC Operations Specialist in Reston, Virginia

Overview

SOSi International LLC (SOSi) is seeking an Operations Specialist to join our team in Reston, Virginia. In this role you will provide operations management support from the U.S. for the mobilization and execution of a large overseas program providing life support and facilities operations & maintenance in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting overseas operations.

Essential Job Duties

  • Support the program management and transition staff with coordination of daily operations tasks.

  • Ensures successful completion of tasks and work activities to support program requirements.

  • Participate in operational meetings as required to discuss operations and support personnel performance in order to identify program deficiencies and propose potential solutions.

  • Conduct analysis and provide reports with recommendations for assigned work functions, activities, processes and organizational departments.

  • Assist with the development of systems, processes and tools to enhance program performance.

  • Maintain communication with program support staff.

  • Perform administrative tasks as required to achieve assigned duties and responsibilities.

  • Communicates with multiple internal (program, corporate) stakeholders to identify requirements and allocate appropriate resources.

  • Plans, organizes, prioritizes, and coordinates multiple work activities to meet critical deadlines.

  • Uses initiative and judgment within established guidelines to ensure work orders are fulfilled at best value.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the program management team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Ability to obtain/maintain a position of public trust.

  • Minimum of two years of Operations/Operations support experience managing reporting, deployment, and execution actions on government contracts.

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Office Software) a must.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate through oral and written communication with customers, management and other coworkers.

  • Must be high-energy, flexible, work well with teams, and able to find creative solutions.

  • Willingness to work in a “hands-on” role, multi-task, and adapt to shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with corporate enterprise information management systems, Microsoft Office suite of applications, and Microsoft Project scheduling system or willingness and capability to learn.

Work Environment

  • Reston, VA office environment with potential for some temporary duty at program location.

  • Some days with long hours, and weekend duties.
