We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Data Analyst. USfalcon is seeking a junior level data analyst to support a contractor project team providing modeling and simulation support for the Navy’s Fleet Readiness Division (OPNAV N83). The client organization’s programs include ship, submarine and aircraft operations and maintenance programs, Fleet training and readiness reporting programs and Navy expeditionary combat operations.

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct basic analysis of Navy aircraft maintenance and readiness data to support routine reports to military leadership.

  • Conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting the readiness of Navy aircraft, ships, and expeditionary equipment.

  • Consolidate data and design charts/graphs and spreadsheets to illustrate analysis results.

  • Monitor trends in Navy aviation, ship and expeditionary readiness using data from DOD databases.

  • Provide support in the preparation, review, and delivery of contract deliverables such as weekly and monthly status reports and annual reports to senior leadership.

  • Provide data analysis to support emerging Navy, DOD, OSD and Congressional inquiries.

  • Provide analytical support for computer model validation efforts, government conferences and briefing materials for Navy, and DoD leadership.

  • Identify areas for organizational process improvements and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of coordination activities with the project team and stakeholders.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience performing data analysis, data mapping, data cleansing and or data validation.

  • Experience using Tableau or a similar visual analytics tools.

  • Five (5) years of relative experience can be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using data to update dashboards.

  • Experience supporting large, complex Automated Information Systems projects.

  • Background in OPNAV, Navy operations, POM and PBIS strongly desired.

  • Prior military experience, particularly Navy, a plus.

  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, SharePoint, and MS PowerPoint.

  • Strong written, verbal communication skills; attention to detail; and ability to multi-task.

  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment, and be able to multi-task while producing solid products

  • Ability to maintain a high customer service focus with attention to detail, accuracy, and on-time delivery.

  • Must have strong written and verbal communications skills and be highly motivated to excel.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook).

Education/ Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
