CACI is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the IBS-NS program located in Reston, VA, and be responsible for a wide variety of tasks associated with cybersecurity engineering.

The Opportunity:

  • Participate in the systems design process to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security requirements using applicable baseline security controls (NIST) as one of the sources for security requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documents by the requirements from the US Air Force Designated Authorizing Official (DAO) as outlined in the Joint Department of Defense Intelligence Information System (DoDIIS)/Cryptologic Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Information Systems Security Standards (JDCSISSS) Certification & Accreditation Guide and/or the AF/Central Security Service (CSS) Information System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP) Guide; depending on the Primary DAO for the site.

  • Responsible for ensuring that Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans are properly configured and completed at all IBS-NS locations.

  • You will review the ACAS scans and provide the raw scans to the Government with findings and explanations.

  • Provide support to other IBS A&A activities (e.g., ACAS scanning of other than IBS-NS systems) as required.

  • Analyze technical information to determine the best cyber protection technologies; AND recommend implementations for software programs.

  • Perform technical analysis to determine the system security posture impact level, evaluate assigned security controls, conduct a technical security assessment and establish roadmaps for mitigation of vulnerabilities, and produce artifacts to successfully achieve an Authority to Operate from an Authorizing Official.

  • Collect and maintain data needed to meet system cybersecurity reporting.

  • Document cybersecurity policy and procedures for system implementation.

  • Document cybersecurity requirements for inclusion in acquisition documents such as project technical specifications, statements of work, and contract provisions.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active DOD secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Engineering, or similar) and a minimum of 8 years of experience OR an Associate degree and at least 10 years of related experience OR no degree and at least 12 years of related experience.

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience with Cloud ATO, Continuous ATO, and RMF 2.0 processes to include inheritance models.

  • DOD 8570 certification at IAT Level 1 (CCNA Security, CySA+ {formerly CSA+}, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP).

  • Advanced use of RMF 2.0

  • Experience with the NIST RMF framework prepared through assess steps and ability to provide design input to implement cybersecurity requirements and to document those decisions in eMASS.

  • Experience with Fortify software scanning.

  • Experience creating and maintaining your own Cyber artifacts.

  • Experience / Familiarity with any of the following: FEDRAMP, DISA APL, Reciprocity, DevSecOps.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and tools including DISA STIGs, SCAP, SCC Tool, eMASS, and ACAS.

  • Apply principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.

Desired:

  • Experience with Penetration Testing (Pentest) as part of system security evaluation.

  • Ability to innovate with cutting-edge tools and technologies.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$102,900 - $216,200
