Our Federal Sales Engineering team plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between our sales and technical teams, ensuring that our clients receive tailored solutions that meet their unique needs.

Role Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Engineering Intern to join our dynamic Federal Engineering team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sales engineering, working closely with our senior engineers and sales professionals. The intern will support various pre-sales and post-sales activities, including technical presentations, solution design, and customer support.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Assist the Sales Engineering team in providing technical support during the sales process.

  • Solution Design: Collaborate with senior engineers to design and develop customized solutions for clients.

  • Presentations and Demos: Help prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.

  • Documentation: Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, proposals, and sales materials.

  • Customer Interaction: Participate in customer meetings and calls to understand their requirements and provide appropriate solutions.

  • Project Assistance: Support ongoing projects by coordinating with various teams and ensuring timely delivery of tasks.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Skills

  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of networking, software, and hardware solutions. Familiarity with MAN/WAN technologies, Internet, Peering, TCP/IP, Layer 1 Access Networks and layer 2/3 networking and protocols (Switching/Bridging, VLAN’s, L2CP, Routing and Security) is a plus.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.

  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to solve technical problems effectively.

  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.

  • Learning Attitude: Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Preferred Majors: Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university

  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2025- Spring 2027)

  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2025 semester before graduating)

  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025

  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs

  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Salary:

Base Pay: $30.00
