ICF Audio Visual Technician in Reston, Virginia

Description

The Audio Visual (AV) Technician will be part of Corporate Information Technology (CIT). The AV Technician will work with our AV vendors around the globe to implement, develop and maintain ICF’s meeting space standards. The technician will provide expert level analysis and support for our ICF staff, including multiple levels of users and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure operational readiness of all room devices via an array of manufacturer cloud-based monitoring tools. Not limited to Logitech Sync, Poly Lens and Barco XMS.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve AV, digital signage and related technology.

  • Maintain and develop user guides.

  • Provide technical training and guidance to ICF staff and guests.

  • Assist in company and departmental all hands meetings.

  • Manage and operate audio-visual equipment in our auditoriums for large events. Including but not limited to: running cameras, Tricaster, audio mixer board, wireless mics, presentations, digital recordings, lighting and the room participation in meetings.

  • Practice excellent customer service and provide the highest quality of service.

  • Manage and negotiate and appropriately size AV maintenance agreements, Cloud services and related licenses.

  • Maintain AV standards across the enterprise, as well as testing and adopting the latest AV technology to meet ICF’s conferencing needs.

  • Conduct regular maintenance and updates of AV systems to ensure optimal performance.

  • Work with AV partners on technical and functional issues.

  • Review proposals and make recommendations on room designs and functions so they meet ICF’s standards.

  • Work closely with our facilities partners and employees on new room requirements, new offices, office closures and issues with existing rooms

  • Maintain hardware and software inventory, including ordering and replacing equipment and licenses as needed.

  • Review room usage data to ensure ICF has the optimal number of rooms for its locations. Find solutions for new requirements as needed.

  • Maintain and develop knowledge base.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, (can substitute one year of experience for one year of education).

  • 2+ years of hotel meeting space or conference center experience.

  • Experience with customer service in a support role.

  • Experience with audio visual equipment set up, configuration, networking and integration with cloud-based meeting platforms and VOIP.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Live event production experience.

  • Ability to read as built drawings and trace in rooms/racks.

  • Experience with Poly Real Connect, Poly Codecs, Logitech Rally, Wireless microphones, Audio Mixing, Barco Clickshare, BrightSign Players, BSN Cloud, 22Miles, Presentation Timers, Video Production switcher (TriCaster preferred). Crestron and Extron hardware.

  • Some AV Systems design and design-review experience.

  • Familiarity with: Teams Meetings, Teams Town Hall & Teams Live Events, Outlook Calendar integration, SIP profiles.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$79,643.00 - $135,392.00
