IBM Product Manager in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina

Your Role and Responsibilities

Your Role and Responsibilities

Join a dynamic team at IBM in a very hot market space. You will be leading the IBM Process and Decision Automation product direction, focused on defining and executing the roadmap for the future of IBM Open-Source automation products.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate on the Process & Decision Automation open-source strategy

  • Work with a team of motivated Product Managers

  • Become a leading technical SME and evangelist for IBM capabilities.

  • Work with customers and our channel leaders to identify necessary improvements to existing functionality, as well as define new functionality to maximize customer adoption and business value with the product.

  • Work with development teams to define clear, accomplishable requirements for new functionality.

  • Work with UI/UX design team assuring all functionality developed is easy to use and clearly articulates its value to customers.

  • Use a combination of customer data, market research and industry knowledge to prioritize new functionality into an aggressive roadmap that balances new functionality, strategic initiatives, improvements, and technical debt.

  • Lead and manage the open-source communities for IBM Business Automation

  • Maintain a current understanding of industry and technology trends.

What you'll bring:

  • A customer-centric focus on how to deliver business value with a keen understanding of the enterprise automation ecosystem

  • A strong working knowledge of open-source products

  • Active open-source community involvement

  • Proven ability to work with development teams

  • Proven ability to work with large enterprise customers

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to make recommendations and measure success

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 2+ years of experience in product management or product marketing

  • 2+ years of experience in Process and/or Decision Automation

  • 2+ years of experience working in the Open-Source space

  • Demonstrated experience driving product ownership and growth

  • Understanding of SaaS and hybrid cloud strategies

  • Experience in Product Management with a technical/engineering background
