IBM IBM Business Architecture Leader in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina


As a Strategy Consultant at IBM, you will help reinvent businesses and industries by developing and utilizing specialized knowledge of industry-specific and cross-industry competitive strategies. As an IBM Business Architecture Leader in a new exciting mission, the IBM Business Architecture, you'll have the unique opportunity to be a part of shaping IBM's journey as Cloud & AI market leader.

Job Description:

This position will drive large-scale change and establish a core business strategy and competency around end-to-end workflows for the enterprise supporting IBM business units, functions and the business strategic priorities. You will work directly with internal clients on key initiatives to understand the primary end-to-end processes to design and align with a redefined business architecture.

As an IBM Business Architecture Leader, you will:

  • Drive large-scale change and establish a core business strategy and competency for end-to-end enterprise workflows

  • Lead the mission for Business Architecture and execution of the enterprise business architecture

  • Establish primary standards and discipline for the enterprise end-to-end workflows, modeling, and maintenance of intelligent workflows

  • Responsible for continuous improvement and scaling the framework for the full enterprise

  • Partner with relevant leadership to tightly align workflows, data, roles, and applications to strategic and transformation goals

  • Establish an enterprise coaching model for guidance and knowledge transfer to embed and scale a system-wide discipline

  • Drive Business Architecture platform adoption

  • Perform stakeholder management to drive engagement and adoption of intelligent workflow discipline with senior stakeholders across the enterprise

  • Lead with agile and design thinking new ways of working to continuously improve on the business architecture model and governance

  • Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills by setting and pursuing stretch goals

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Business and/or process strategy core consulting experience

  • Continuous process improvement and business process management experience

  • Executive presence and ability to influence at the sr. executive level

  • Strong attention to detail and business acumen

  • Agile and design thinking facilitation experience

  • Benchmarking competitive and market analysis

  • Strong leadership, collaboration and team management skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt experience

  • Design Thinking co-creator badge

  • Organizational Change experience

  • Deep passion and entrepreneurial spirit with ability to effect change within IBM's matrix

  • Proven track record for driving outcomes

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn Business Architecture or Business Process Modeling tools

  • Knowledge of BPMN, Archimate or other modeling notations and frameworks
