Fujifilm Electrical Technician III in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina
Position Overview
The Technician 3, Electrician is responsible for operation, maintenance, and optimization of plant electrical systems. This may include but not limited to medium voltage switch gears, transformers, and low voltage distribution panels. Monitor and operate process control systems and equipment in assigned process and utility areas and troubleshooting and maintaining the electrical equipment to ensure these systems meet the stringent requirements of pharmaceutical manufacturing and storage environments. This role will be a part of a team required to support 24/7 operations.

Job Description
Major Accountabilities:
Performs electrical systems walk down inspections during construction
Assists with startup of all electrical gear to include Low and Medium Voltage switchgear, motor control center (MCCs), power distribution panel (PDPs), uninterruptible power supply (UPS), electrical panels, and end point equipment
Supports system walkdowns which interface with Electrical systems post-construction phase
Reviews redlines drawings for electrical systems
Interfaces with and supports engineering, operations, and construction teams during both construction and operational phases
Provides direction in the field for electrical team activities in support of daily operation of the site
Conducts preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for all electrical systems, such as Switchgear (Low and Medium voltage), MCCs, PDPs, UPS systems, switchboards, and power panels, variable frequency drives (VFDs) and motors
Interprets electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
Assists with the continued improvement and development of the electrical maintenance program to include safety gear selection, maintenance and test equipment selection, and support of the training program
Partners with procurement to obtain needed electrical supplies and equipment
Partners with system engineers and reliability engineers to support equipment enhancements and projects
Handles the operation, maintenance, and optimization of plant electrical systems
Troubleshoots, maintains & identifies system improvements
Provides technical support for site project execution, as required
Adheres to all Quality and Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) regulations
Supports technical development and mentors other Electrical Technicians
Uses lean concepts for continuous process improvements
Assists in the development of maintenance procedures and plans
Supports site operations and emergency work orders during off-hours, as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to read and interpret design drawings and schematics for electrical systems & equipment
Effective communication, both written and oral
Strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to work in shifts Monday-Friday, and on-call for 24/7 support
Minimum Education Requirements
High School Diploma/GED
6 years of electrician experience
Experience with medium and low voltages
Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems
Experience maintaining and testing electrical systems and equipment
Preferred Education Requirements
Associate degree in electrical, technical, or related degree or U.S. military technical school
7+ years of experience as an industrial electrical technician
Experience in pharmaceutical or another highly regulated industry
Experience providing oversight to 3rd party contractors or mentoring technicians
Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
