We are looking to fill a full-time, 40 hours per week Ophthalmic Technician in our Renton Clinic. In this role, you will work side by side with our surgeons to provide our patients with life-changing vision correction outcomes.
Limited experience? No problem! We provide on-the-job training and will teach you how to take an active part in the patient care process.

Take patients' medical histories, perform workups, and perform ophthalmic diagnostic exams to obtain the information needed for the provider to determine a diagnosis
Operate ophthalmic equipment, such as Auto Refractor, Retinoscopes, Phoropters, Slit Lamp, Pentacam/Topography, Wavescan, IOL master/ Lenstar, Projectors, Zeiss OCT and Heidelberg OCT.
Assist providers in performing ophthalmic procedures and by performing clinical functions, such as room flow, status communication to patient and provider
May instruct the patient in care and treatment of eye conditions, apply dressings to the eye, as well as assist medical providers with documentation of exam data.
Triages phone calls from patients and outside contacts in accordance with the standard of care for Ophthalmology and office policies.

High School diploma or equivalent; and a minimum 6 months post-secondary education and/or training
1 year experience as a technician or in patient services preferred
Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office products, Windows environment, and strong keyboarding skills.
Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology
Basic math skills (add, subtract, etc.)
Demonstrate strong ability to multitask
Have flexibility to help in all areas and effectively work in a team environment
Maintain a professional presentation, patient confidentiality and have strong interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication for exemplary customer service
Strong organization and attention to detail
$19 - $32 per hour, DOE
