*TITLE: *Medical Records Scanner
*JOB OVERVIEW: *Responsible for sorting, prepping, scanning and quality assessment of Medical Record documents and other non-medical record documents into the Document management System as assigned. Other responsibilities include processing faxed and emailed documents, maintaining scanned/imaged documents in the warehouse, shredding scanned/imaged documents, retrieving scanned/imaged documents, answering phones, and entering Safety Event Reports, as necessary.

WORK HOURS: Variable
REPORTS TO: HIM Operations Manager
PREREQUISITES:
High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
Computer PC skills required. Ability to use Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word preferred. Experience with EPIC and/or OnBase preferred.
Demonstrates ability to communicate in writing and verbally in the English language in an effective manner. Effective communication includes the ability to spell accurately and write legibly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in a Health Information Management operations or medical office preferred.
Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills in a diverse population.
Neat and well-groomed appearance.
Demonstrate ability to handle telephone calls and personal interactions with tact, poise, courtesy, and respect.
Demonstrate the ability to maintain records accurately and keep all records confidential.
Demonstrate the ability to learn tasks and handle responsibility.
Able to carry out assignments and exercise good independent judgment.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Regular and punctual attendance is a condition of employment.
