We are looking to fill a full-time, 40 hours per week Medical Assistant in our Renton Clinic. In this role, you will work side by side with our surgeons to provide our patients with life-changing vision correction outcomes.
Limited experience? No problem! We provide on-the-job training and will teach you how to handle surgical instruments and take an active part in the patient care process.

Due to Governor Inslee's mandate, candidates must be fully vaccinated to start working with our group.
Perform pre-and post-operative patient calls
Gather medical records and record patients information necessary to complete health history
Admit and prepare the patient for surgery including taking and recording vital signs; recognize when to escalate findings to Nurse
Document and communicate actions to maintain continuity among the nursing team
Circulate patient through surgery
Document in patient record and EHR
Comply with procedures, regulations, and rules in maintaining medical records
Prepare patients for examinations and treatments including discussing a treatment plan with physicians and pharmacists
Take ocular measurements both anatomical and functional
Train and practice knowledge of asepsis, infection control, and sterilization
Order supplies and maintains records
Abide by all company and compliance policies and procedures including HIPAA, OSHA/WISHA, Patient confidentiality, and insurance requirements.

High school diploma or GED
1 year of medical experience preferred
Current CPR/AED is mandatory
Knowledge of sterile technique as it applies to operating room preferred
Safe positioning of patients when required
Proper method of handling instruments, tissue specimens, cultures, and smears before, during and after use
Ability to anticipate the needs of the team before such needs arise
Ability to adapt to various types of personalities
Demonstrate high degree of collaboration, negotiation, motivational and conflict resolution skills
Demonstrate excellence in communication skills- demonstrated ability to convey ideas and information, verbally and in writing
Able and willing to achieve goals with tenacity, compassion
Exhibit initiative and the ability to work independently when necessary and perform as part of the larger team, in a fast paced environment
Willingness to travel between ASC’s on occasion
$17 - $23 per hour, DOE
