The Accounts Payable Specialist will manage the accounts payable (AP) processes from invoice receipt to payment. The Accounts Payable Specialist will: Review all invoices for appropriate documentation, approval and prepare for processing. Prepare, analyze and input data. Manage invoice to payment process in accordance to our financial policies and procedures. Maintaining account payable records (invoices, vouchers and other correspondence) according to process and procedures. Review, reconcile and verify financial reports. Facilitate payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders and resolving discrepancies. Reconcile vendor statements, respond to vendor inquires and research and resolve discrepancies. Ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed. Assist with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions. Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices.
