Your role at Clorox:
Pay Rate: $30.31 + $1.50 Shift Differential
Shift: Midnight - 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM (Sun to Thursday)
QA technicians are responsible for verifying the quality of our product, monitoring the effectiveness of our processes, managing non-conformances, and conducting internal audits. They are expected to drive continual improvement of product quality and regulatory compliance. Personal development through formal training and collaborative work with co-workers is essential for success of this position.
This position is considered a safety-sensitive position, meaning, a lapse of attention could adversely affect the safety of others by resulting in injury, illness, or death, including without limitation a position that includes the operating, repairing, maintaining, or monitoring of heavy equipment, machinery, or operation motorized vehicle.
In this role, you will:
Hourly to perform verifications of packaging, product, and processes. To include… (70%)
Testing of product samples.
Testing of WIP samples.
Verification of line monitoring records.
Hourly to conduct Food Safety and GMP inspections. To include… (10%)
Identifying improvement opportunities.
Working with front line associates to drive Food Safety & GMP awareness.
Continually seeking best practices to improve our Food Safety and GMP culture.
Weekly submittal or Quality Metrics to leadership… (10%)
Product Mean and Cpk values for Torques, Net Content, Labels, pH, TA, ATP.
Process completion and failure rates.
Monthly to complete GMP and internal process audits… (10%)
Audits focused on functions within the manufacturing process.
Functional areas: Ordering, Receiving, Storage, Blending, Processing, Packaging, Shipping
What we look for:
Minimum:
Fluent in English communications. (Verbal, Written, Reading)
Proficient in algebraic math.
Proficient with computer software and data entry.
Desirable:
Ability to present results and quality initiatives to an audience of 5-15 individuals.
Proficient in statical process control.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certificate.
Familiarity with FDA regulations.
Experience with LDMS.
Years and Type of Experience :
Minimum:
1 years’ experience in food manufacturing quality control or
3 years’ experience in manufacturing quality control or
5 years’ experience in food manufacturing
Desirable:
3 years’ experience in food manufacturing quality control or
5 years’ experience in manufacturing quality control or
7 years’ experience in food manufacturing
Laboratory experience (Microbiological or Analytical)
Education Level/Degree:
Minimum: GED / high school diploma with one of the following
1 year experience in a food manufacturing quality control role or
3 years experience in a manufacturing quality control role or
5 years experience in food manufacturing
Preferred: Bachelor of Science (Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Sciences)
Physical and mental requirements:
Able to stand and walk 7+ hours of an 8-hour shift.
Able to lift 35lbs on occasion.
Maintain composure in stressful situations.
Eligibility Criteria:
In “good standing” with the company. Employees on any written warning status or above are not eligible to apply for open positions. This would include Written, 1st Written, 2nd Written, and Final Written. Employees on Verbal warnings are considered in “good standing” for purposes of this policy.
Minimum of twelve (12) months in your current department and have a minimum of six (6) months in your current position after skill block is sign-off. If not signed off within the department the twelve (12) months criteria is the only criteria that must be met.
