Eaton Corporation Assembler II - 3rd shift in Reno, Nevada

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Assembler II - 3rd shift. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. The rate for this position is $21.25 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

In this function, you will:

• Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components

• Use bolts, screws, clips, and other fastening devices

• Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams

• Be using hand tools

• Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise

• Keep work areas clean and safe

• Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:

o Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout the shop floor and office areas.

o Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals, and status to the shop floor.

o Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.

• Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-duty military service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Position Criteria:

• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format.

• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shifts.

• Fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion is required.

• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.

Physical Demands:

• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shifts.

• Able to regularly lift 50 pounds with or without accommodation. Occasionally lift more than 50 lbs. with assistance.

• Exposure to high noise levels (ear protection may be required in some areas).

• Exposure to high-traffic areas with forklift activity.

• Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents.
