Preferred Qualifications

Direct experience in workforce development either in state government, school or healthcare setting

Familiarity with federal DOL/state apprenticeship standards (WI, OK, IL, MO)

Strong Interest Inventory certification

Job Summary:

Manages apprenticeship, career pathway, and workforce development programs directed at providing growth opportunities and serves as a resource to team members throughout the organization. Connects the growth opportunities and resources offered through talent management to the career aspirations of team members, while working with talent partners to fill essential vacancies.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitates career guidance conversations for leaders, team members, and external stakeholders interested in identifying potentially new career opportunities and pathways.

  • Assesses and evaluates team members based on cognitive, job fit, and personality types to support the alignment of potential roles to specific team members.

  • Supports the development and creation of career ladders and lattices that align with the strategy direction of the organization and career aspirations of team members.

  • Manages the programs and partnerships associated with apprenticeship programs, internal mobility, and career pathing, along with assessing the effectiveness of such programs and partnerships.

  • Collaborates with the benefits team toidentify team members planning or currently leveraging tuition dollars for non-clinical education to determine career aspirations and trajectory to align education with future professional opportunities.

  • Facilitates resume writing and interview preparation workshops to support the preparation of team members to apply for new roles. ​

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

  • Five years’ experience or three years' experience with an earned International Coaching Federation Career Coach certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.

  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.

  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.

  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.

  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

  • Rare climbing.
